Rathnapura
The tour takes the visitor to Rathnapura; The City of Gems for
it’s from here that comes the world – famous Gems
of SriLanka.Here again the visitor will drive through the beautiful
countryside of our land, through tea and rubber plantations,
rice fields and the lush green vegetation of the Island. Lunch
could be had at the Restaurant. A visit will be made to one
of the leading Gem Mines in the area. Here the visitor will
see the process of Gem mine mining in SriLanka.You will also
be allowed to partake in Gemming. And who knows one may find
a gem of rare beauty. The visitor will also see the cutting
and the polishing of Gems, through which process the crude stones
are changed into sparkling jewels.
